Live-in Care
Kivernell Care provides live-in care for varying types of clients. This involves a carer living with the client in the client’s home to provide a range of care suited to their needs. Because of the nature of this type of care, every effort is made to provide a carer who is suited to the individual needs and personality of the client. The carers provided will tend to work a shift pattern of two weeks on and two weeks off. This means that clients may have two carers looking after them each month.
Prior to the commencement of care, our live-in manager will visit you at home to discuss your needs and requirements and the level of support that you will require. We will draw up an agreed care plan and contract between ourselves and agree a date for starting the care. When care starts, our live-in manager will personally introduce the carer to the client and discuss all aspects of the care. The live-in manager will then visit regularly, especially in the first few weeks to ensure everything is running smoothly.
Due to the type of care being provided you will need to have the following facilities available:
- A bedroom for the carer
- Provide suitable food and drinks
- An average break of 2 hours per day away from the clients home – as mutually agreed between carer and client
Type of Care:
Kivernell Care will provide three levels of live-in care and this will be agreed at the initial client assessment. These levels are not an indication of the quality of care but denote the intensity of the care required by the individual client and the experience required by the carer. These levels will be at a different daily charge rate – see client charge rates.
Level One:
Companionship, personal care, meal preparation and domestic support.
Level Two:
Companionship, personal care, meal preparation and domestic support Client requires help with mobility and / or significant support with day-to-day tasks.
Level Three:
Companionship, personal care, meal preparation and domestic support.
Client requires total support with all aspects of day-to-day living.
